He was predeceased by: his parents, George Akers Belton and Gwendolyn Nichols Belton. He is survived by: his wife Vicki L. Belton of Leesville; his children, Sharrie Boullion (Ragley), John D. Belton II (Karmen) of Plano and George Belton of Leesville; and his siblings, Larry Belton of Garland, Curtis Belton (Jackie) of Leesville and Sandra Colquette (Jerry) of Katy. He is also survived by several stepchildren and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
