It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lena Murphy (Leesville, Louisiana), born in Pelahatchie, Mississippi, who passed away on April 25, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Byrd and Arlosia H. Byrd of Canton, MS.; and her sister Kathleen Milton (John) of Maywood, Illinois.. She is survived by: her children, Jacqueline Murphy (Kansas), Gwendolyn Murphy (Leesville) and Russell W. Murphy (Texas); her grandchildren, Michelle Suggs (Richard), Latia Murphy (Didier), Lagwenda Murphy (Leesville), Krystal Augustine (CT), Mario Smith (Leesville), Alexandra S. Murphy (Kansas) and Russell Reibold (Germany); her friend Herman C. Dillon (Leesville); and her pet Emma Jean. She is also survived by 13 great grandchildren.
