He is survived by: his children, Luther Gordon Brister Jr. (Linda) of Leesville and Judith Kosan Smythe of Leesville; and his sisters, Betty-Ann Brister Cooper and Charity Brister Burge. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, and a host of great-grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
