He was predeceased by : his parents, Richard J Longsworth and Teresa Jean Longsworth (Stanford); and his grandson Xzavier Capehart. He is survived by : his wife Kathy Marie Longsworth (Bland); his children, Cassy Jo Hall, Michael Edward Longsworth Jr. and Jay Edward Longsworth; his grandchildren, Alex Eugene Longsworth, Briana Nicole Westmoreland and Desire Hope Bruce (Longsworth); his great grandchildren, Audric Johnson, Ayden Johnson, Noah Longsworth and Braydin Capehart; and his brothers, Rick Longsworth, Bill Longsworth and David Longsworth.

In leiu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Fort Hope Baptist Church or Beams Bible Ministry.
