She was predeceased by: her parents, Collin Calcote and Willie Mae Gill Calcote; her husband William "Billy" J. Elser; her daughters, Cheryl Elser and Tina Carr Elser; and her siblings, Maurice Calcote, Carrie Doyle and Dorothy Cordell.
She is survived by: her children, Karen Elser (Joe Fulk) and Billy J. Elser V (Laurie); and her brothers, Horace "Red" Calcote, Sr. of Rosepine and Donald Calcote of Rosepine. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren: at least 15 great-grandchildren: a host of nieces and nephews.
