He was predeceased by: his wife Ruby Scarber Mayo; his parents, Herman Adrian Mayo and Arnita Tippit Mayo; his great grandchild Joseph Clinton; his siblings, Reginald Mayo, Margie Neal and Linda Holsomback; and his grandson-in-law Mark Clinton.
He is survived by: his sisters, Teena Garess (David) of Rosepine, LA and Nita Barnes (Steve) of Lubbock, TX; his stepchildren, Denny Paul Scarber of Chireno, TX, James Scarber of Teague, TX, Barbara Smart (Almon) of Leesville, LA, Gail Collier of Wetumpka, AL and Brenda Frickenschmit (Randy) of Amite, LA; his grandchildren, Jennifer Clinton, Jeremy Smart (Miranda), Jared Smart, Amanda Scarber, Karen Whitehead (Joey), Terry Pat Stokes (Emily) and Jonathan Scarber; and his stepdaughters, Megan Scarber and Sandra Sims.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Jeane's Funeral Service (100 E Union St, Leesville, LA 71446). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
