We are sad to announce that on August 13, 2023, at the age of 56, Steve Smithey of Leesville, Louisiana, born in Fort Polk, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his father Joe Smithey Sr.. He is survived by : his mother Linda Strickland Smithey of Anacoco; his wife Jimmie Smithey of Leesville; his children, Jesse Smithey of Houston, Joshua Mulberry of Houston, Crystal Mulberry of Oklahoma, Ashley Frazier of Leesville, Elizabeth Frazier of Marksville and Kaylee Frazier of Leesville; and his siblings, Joe E. Smithey Jr. of Anacoco, Mishael Jones of Anacoco and Stacey Craig of New Llano. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
