He is survived by: his wife Opal Dowden of Leesville, LA; his children, William Alvin Dowden (Linda) of Leesville, LA, Leslie Gene Dowden (DeAnna) of Robertsdale, MO, Barbara Scott (Kenny) of Wichita Falls, TX and Mary Ann Dowden of Leesville, LA; and his grandchildren, Gene Paul Dowden, Mary Louise Moore, Alisa Denise Vielman, Bucky Alvin Dowden, Leslie Gene Dowden Jr., Tiffany Ensley and DeAnna Hill. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
