He was predeceased by: his wife Joyce Marie Matlock; his daughter Bianka Smith-Matlock; and his parents, Raymond Matlock and Armenia Matlock. He is survived by: his children, Torrance Matlock (Sheena), John Kevin Jones (Louise) and Michele Hollingsworth; and his sister Mary Matlock. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Bethesda Ministries (140 Section Line Rd, Leesville, LA 71446). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
