She was predeceased by: her parents, John V. Witty and Mathilda Witty; her husband Norris "Ted" Melancon; her grandsons, Beau Chad and James Casie Melancon; and her brothers, Kenneth (Paula Witty), Vernon "Spooky" Witty and Donald (Roberta Witty).
She is survived by: her children, Mickey, Robin, Kevin (Dana) and Marasha (Bourg Langlois); and her sisters-in-law, Nancy Witty (Peggy) and Vickie Witty. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and their spouses and 22 great-grandchildren and their spouses.
