He was predeceased by: his wife Joyce Hill Hardy; his parents, Jesse Hardy and Elvie Taylor Hardy; his siblings, Elliott "Pete" Harrell, Otis Hardy and Joyce Ballard; and his great grandchild Lexis Martin.
He is survived by: his sons, Nolan (Tammy Hardy), Dudley (Jerri Hardy), Barry (Cindy Hardy) and Michael (Tonya Hardy); and his sister Lois Devall. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
