She was predeceased by: her parents, Ludovic Smith and Ophelia Thibodeaux Smith; her husband Elphege Felix Cormier; and her siblings, Leora Savoie, Clevis Smith and Wilton Smith.
She is survived by: her daughters, Janet Smith (Larry) and Cindy Fairchild (Walt); her children-in-law, Cheryl Cormier, Lisa Cormier and Shelby Andre (Deborah); her grandchildren, Melissa Smith, Daniel "Boone" Smith (Cassie), James Cormier (Shawn) of Douglas, Cormier, Jr., Jason Andre (Kim), Nicole Nelson (Joshua), Joshua Andre, Erica Glynn (Daniel), Whitney Cormier, Matthew Cormier, Drew Jones and Brooke Fairchild; her friends, Sandra Young and Willie Gravois; her children, Evelyn Andre, Douglas Cormier, Sr. and Clevis Cormier, Sr.; her grandchildren, Clevis "CJ" Cormier, Jr. and Lauren Fairchild; and her great great grandchild Allorah Lambert. She is also survived by 24 great grandchildren, 10 great-great grandchildren and many other loving family members.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Janell LaCombe Cancer Fund in honor of Nevis Cormier.
