With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Fred Lamar Griffin (Lockport, Louisiana), born in Waycross, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 11, 2025 at the age of 82. He was predeceased by: his parents, Perry Griffin and Rosa Lee Crawford Griffin; his siblings, Eldean, Bobby (Burniece), Linda (Bobby), Norma Jean, Berniece and Janelle; and his great grandchild Camryn.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Griffin; his children, Leigh (Jackie), Susan (Angie), Chad, Debbie, Sue (Jimmy), Becky (Jess) and Dana (Pookey); his grandchildren, Casey (Ryan), Jamie (Marty), Cody (Andrea), Taylor (Gabby), Tabitha (David), Aiden, Mckinzie and Christian (Nina); his great grandchildren, Beckett, Easton, Makenzie, Madelynn, Khi, Ayden, Gracie, Holden, Cooper and Colton; and his siblings, Barbara (Mike), Terry (Darlene), Debbie (Bobby) and Rickey.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church - Lockport (5545 LA-1, Lockport, LA 70374). The military honors will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:15 PM at the Holy Savior Cemetery (612 Main St, Lockport, LA 70374).
