We are sad to announce that on October 18, 2025, at the age of 100, Theresa Nina Toups Elliott of Lockport, Louisiana, born in Gueydan, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Melvin Paul Elliot, Sr.; her son Robert Elliott; her parents, Abel Jean Toups, Sr. and Bernadette Champagne Toups; and her siblings, A. J. Toups Jr., David Toups, Ray Toups, Ellis Toups, Peter Toups, Macy T. Tinsley, Bridget T. Scanlan and Gladys T. Cormier.
She is survived by: her children, Theresa "Tessy" Marie Elliott, Rebecca "Becky" Ann Elliott Simon (Richard), Dr. Melvin Paul Elliott Jr. (Myra) and Dr. Edward James Elliott (Tish); her grandchildren, Dr. Matthew Elliott, Andrew Elliott (Stephanie), Benjamin Elliott, Sr. (Katie), Emily Elliott (Tom), Mark Simon (Lisa) and David Simon (Jennifer); and her great grandchildren, Avery Elliott, Benjamin Elliott, Jr., Ava Elliott, Katie Biles (Bradley), Ethan Simon, Carly Simon and Alex Simon.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Holy Savior Catholic Church (612 Main St, Lockport, LA 70374). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
