We are sad to announce that on May 14, 2026, at the age of 92, Gladys Giroir Bordonaro of Loranger, Louisiana, born in New Orleans, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph Bordonaro, Jr.; her grandson Jed Imbraguglio, III; her parents, Edmond Giroir and Bertha Alleman Giroir; and her siblings, E. J. Giroir and Grace Moffatt.
She is survived by: her children, Darlene Simpson (Wayne) and Wayne Bordonaro (Kim); her grandchildren, Jennifer Simpson Crowe, Robin Stafford (Dave), Chad Simpson (Shelby), Cory Simpson (Susan) and Tina McIntosh (Billy); her great grandchildren, Chelsi Fortenberry (Cole), Tyler Simpson (Shelby Roberts), Sophia Simpson, Dalton Simpson, Jaci Crowe, Jaxon Crowe, Magnolia McIntosh, Dillon McIntosh, Shane McIntosh, Vivian Stafford and Archer Stafford; and her great great grandchildren, Judson Fortinberry, Karsyn Fortinberry, Wesson Fortinberry, Audrey Simpson and Corbin Simpson.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 20th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the McKneely Funeral Home (110 E Factory St, Amite City, LA 70422). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 20th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Shriners Hospitals for Children.
