With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jared Lynn Dansby of Luling, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 17, 2025 at the age of 65. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his siblings, Wendy Young, Marie Jackson, Lionel Young and Sidatsingh Dansby; and his sister-in-law Debra Young.
He is survived by: his parents, Arthur Dansby and Janet S. Dansby (Lake Charles); his wife Terri Vaughn Dansby; his children, Latoya Antionette Dansby, Christopher Joseph Dansby, Megan Sheppard (Americo) of Terence and Javen Toney Sr.; his grandchildren, Aria Sheppard, Berkeley Pierre, Javen Toney Jr., Tyeler Pierre and Averiegh Sheppard; his siblings, Beverly Archie, David Young, Verlena Young, Yadrian Dansby (Lake Charles), Khambyta Dansby (Lake Charles) and Karraz (LaToya); his siblings-in-law, Lindsay Dukes Smith (Jermaine), Nelson Tyrone Alexander, Jason Alexander, Dennis Vaughn and Tori Vaughn; and his parents-in-law, Nelson and Mary Alexander. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 30th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mt. Airy Baptist Church (13635 Old Spanish Trail, Boutte, LA 70039). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
