He was predeceased by : his parents, Ambroise Champagne and Bertha Boudreaux of Luling; and his sisters, Lorraine Tassin Keller, Yvonne Champagne McCord and Bertha.

He is survived by : his wife Mae Aucoin Champagne; his children, Regina Champagne Labat (Ray), Renè "Rennie" J. Champagne (Terry) and Gay Champagne Prindle (Kenneth "Rody"); and his grandchildren, Ray Labat III (Ashley), Renè Labat (Kourtney), Ramsey Renè Champagne (Mindi), Ryan Champagne (Ellie), Tayler Prindle Niggemann (Daniel), Jonathan Prindle (Kristen) and Sean Prindle.
