He is survived by: his wife Lois Ann Kirtland; his children, Chad Anthony Kirtland, Daniel Kelley, Charles Ian Kirtland, Erin Kirtland and Robert James Kirtland Jr.; his grandchildren, Hannah Grace, Sophia, Mackenzie, Kylie, Asher, Charlotte, Gemma, Amelia and Daisy; and his great grandchild Indyca.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Faith Temple Church of God (800 S Jamie Blvd, Avondale, LA 70094). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
