He was predeceased by: his wife Doris Laiche Martin; his parents, Michel Sr. Martin and Virginia Deslattes Martin; his grandchildren, Derek "Nup" Zimmer and Baby Keller; and his siblings, Earl Martin, Harry Martin, Wilhemina Martin Heltz, Solange Martin Faucheux and Hazel Martin Simon.
He is survived by: his children, Cathy Martin, Sheila Zimmer (Byron), Tammy Roussel (Danny), Kimbo Martin (Kelly) and Lane Martin (Kristie); his grandchildren, Dustin Zimmer (Danielle), Daphne Dicharry (Michael), Kara Lear (Jonathon), Candi Mitchell (Joel), Sandi Keller, Joshua, Jordan, Jayden Martin, Hunter and Jace Martin; his great grandchildren, Brayden, Brooklyn, Mason, Mya, Maliyah, Bransen, Briggs, Brooks, Tenlie, Alexa, Marley and Maverick; and his brother-in-law Donald Laiche (Gerrie).
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph Church (2130 Rectory St, Paulina, LA 70763). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
