It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara James of Mamou, Louisiana, who passed away on August 11, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Robert L. James; her parents, Wallace Dupre and Ena Roy Dupre; and her brother Jasper Dupre. She is survived by: her son Stephen G. Fontenot (Rose); her granddaughters, Ashley Hornsby (Matt) and Stephanie Perry (Clay); her great grandchildren, Brynlee, Brady Perry, Peyton, Cooper and Hayes Hornsby; and her nephew Chris Dupre (Donna).
Barbara's proudest accomplishments were her contributions to her family, nurturing an environment conducive to her Catholic faith.
