It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Lynn Fontenot (Mamou, Louisiana), born in Eunice, Louisiana, who passed away on March 25, 2023, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Earl Joseph Fontenot and Mercedes Fuselier; and his grandparents, Joseph Lee Fuselier Greer, Lorice Vidrine, Maxime Fontenot and Lelma Menier.

He is survived by : his children, Shawn Louis Fontenot (Kimberley), Julie Corey, Shana Coleman-Ivie (Ray), Kristi Fontenot Lynch and Regina Fontenot (Casey); his former life partner Gwen Bergeron; his grandchildren, Devin, Katherine, Jackson, Orrin, Allyson, Matthew, Travis and Lainey; his great grandchildren, Eli, Finlay, Walker, Wyatt and Daxton; and his siblings, Daniel Fontenot, Jason Fontenot and Myra Fontenot.
