With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Benjamin Elias Clayton III of Mandeville, Louisiana, who passed away on February 28, 2024 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Benjamin Elias Clayton, Jr. and Carlotta Etheridge Clayton; and his brother Richard Dantzler Clayton. He is survived by : his former life partner Doris Irene Clayton; his children, Benjamin Elias Clayton, IV (Lisa), Christopher Stuart Clayton (Diana), Gwendolyn Clayton Naquin (Robert) and Kimberly Clayton Hamlen (Kurt); and his sister Mary Carlotta Bates (late Dewitt). He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
