He was predeceased by: his parents, William Ewart Jakes and Edna Strong Jakes; his brother William Ellsworth Jakes; and his former spouse Luci Spallino Jakes. He is survived by: his wife Beverly Jane Gidman Jakes; his children, Brian Peter Jakes, Jr. (Tosha) and Kelli Rae Jakes; his stepdaughters, Trish Liscomb (Todd) and Suzie Talbot (Tim); his grandchildren, Jaimie Bailey (Evan), Kaitlyn Jakes, Luci McCumsey, Bella McCumsey, Caroline McCumsey, Jack Rogers, Brooke Rogers, Bradlee Rogers, Madison Talbot, Alaina Talbot, Lindsey Stanley, Haylie Stanley, Blake Liscomb and Holly Hoover; his great grandchild Scarlett Bailey; and his sister Brenda Sweetapple. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
