We are sad to announce that on June 25, 2025, at the age of 78, Carl Bismark Preston of Mandeville, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Bismark Preston and Bernice Yvonne Edgerson; his wife Sandra Reina; his grandparents, Rev. C. C. Edgerson and Beaulah Eugene Edgerson; his brothers, Ronald, Bruce, Charles, Herbert and Lionel Thomas (Andre); and his aunts and uncles, Theodore, Rev. Leo P., Lloyd C. Edgerson, Dorothy Gloris, Julia Edgerson, Rose Mary Scott and Dorothy T. Edgerson.
He is survived by: his sons, Duane Preston (Yoshiko) of Pensacola, Florida, Gerald Preston of Mandeville, Louisiana and Adrian Preston of Covington, Louisiana; his grandchildren, Duane Jr. (Alecia), Rache, Rena, Jordan, Adrian Jr., Javin and Kenzleigh; his great grandchildren, Acaira, Caile and Rocky; his sister Joyce Winston of Mandeville, LA; his stepbrother Robert Thomas of Marrero, LA; his sisters-in-law, Avis Anderson of Mandeville, LA and Thomas of Marrero, LA; and his godchildren, Kevin Edgerson, Derek Penn and Kandiss Scott. He is also survived by cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Grearter Starlight Baptist Church (521 W 28th Ave, Covington, LA 70433). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, July 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery (34888 Grantham College Dr, Slidell, LA 70460).
