He is survived by: his wife Susan Nunmaker Madden; his children, Clay Madden (Emily), Lauren Parenton (Corey) and Logan Madden (Erica); his grandchildren, Charlotte, Louise, Robert "Bo" Madden, Jackson, James, Fay Parenton, Chloe, Eleanor, Liam and Austin Madden; and his sisters, Brenda Funderburk of Oak Ridge, NC, Debra Megison of Dallas, TX and Karen Masencup of Troutman, NC. He is also survived by extended family and many dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Timothy's to support its local ministries.
