He was predeceased by : his sister Ann Hewitt. He is survived by : his wife Jennifer Coates Hewitt of Mandeville; his sons, John "Jack" Davis Hewitt V of Baton Rouge and Sean Davis Hewitt (Roni) of Baton Rouge; and his grandchildren, Kai Hewitt and Rebecca Hewitt.
