As John Ray departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though John Ray may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy John Ray leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his father John Ray Whitfield Sr.; and his sister Kelli. He is survived by: his mother Rita Brignac; his brothers, Robert Flanagan and Frank Flanagan Jr.; his sons, Justin (Kelli), Jakob (Amanda) and Eli; and his granddaughters, Zoey, Sophia and Aurora.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bagnell & Son Funeral Home (75212 Lee Rd, Covington, LA 70435). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
