We bid farewell to John Raymond Moreau of Mandeville, Louisiana, born in New Orleans, Louisiana, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on May 16, 2025 at the age of 86. John Raymond touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his wife Josie Helen Burguières Moreau; his parents, Forest L. Moreau and Jessie May Sparks Moreau; his daughter Angela Moreau Douglass; his sons-in-law, James "Steve" Douglass and Casey Lindsay; and his siblings, Pearl, Edward, Katy, Joy Ann and Bob.
He is survived by: his children, John Raymond Moreau, II (Sharon), Steven Paul Moreau (Brenda), Pam Moreau Lindsay and Carla Moreau; his grandchildren, Brent Douglass, Kimberly Moreau Jacobs, Morgan Moreau McCann, Jeffery Moreau, Matthew Moreau, Tristan Moreau and Conner Lindsay; his great grandchildren, Frankie Adams, Amber Douglass, Zachary Douglass, Jacob Adams, Clark Jacobs, Margot Jacobs, Finley Moreau, Mira Moreau, Theo Moreau, Olivia Douglass and Xander Douglass; and his brother David "Genie" Moreau. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
A wake was held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the E. J. Fielding Funeral Home & Cremation Services (2260 W 21st Ave, Covington, LA 70433). Visitation was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church (13396 River Rd, Destrehan, LA 70047). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 at the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church Cemetery (13396 River Rd, Destrehan, LA 70047).
