Bill Snider wrote a sympathy message

“I remember Larry from High school days at Mandeville High. His older brother Terry joined the Marine Corps, and Larry followed him. This was during Vietnam. I followed not long afterwards but went into the Navy (staying for 20). Those were hectic days, and serving in the military wasn't looked upon favorably by many. I talked to Larry briefly a few years back, and know how proud he was of the time he served (deservedly so). He was a good man.”
