She was predeceased by: her parents, Marcel Gouvaze (Mary Geisler) and Solange; her husband Stanley S. Briggs Sr.; and her son Walter Parker III. She is survived by: her daughters, Marie-Ange Bonneau, Sylvie Parker, Yolanda Taris and Melissa Burras (Andrew); and her grandchildren, America Brooks, Cynthia, Sandra, Ja'Lissa, Nathaniel, Johnathon, Dominique, Ivan and Jamon. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren and a host of friends.
