He is survived by: his wife Peggy Madden Burton; his daughters, Wendy Burton Sandras (Dant Sandras), Christina Burton Cantrell (Kevin Cantrell) and Kimberly Burton Lawrence (Edgar Abbott Lawrence IV); his friend Jack Shaffer; his cousin Joseph Butler; and his grandchildren, Braden Cantrell, Colton Cantrell, Christian Cantrell, Christiana Cantrell and Viviana Lawrence. He is also survived by five grandchildren.
