It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of William Wade Burton of Mandeville, Louisiana, who passed away on November 28, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Selma Sadie Nelson Burton and Wade Burton. He is survived by: his wife Peggy Madden Burton; his daughters, Wendy Burton Sandras (Dant Sandras), Christina Burton Cantrell (Kevin Cantrell) and Kimberly Burton Lawrence (Edgar Abbott Lawrence IV); his friend Jack Shaffer; his cousin Joseph Butler; and his grandchildren, Braden Cantrell, Colton Cantrell, Christian Cantrell, Christiana Cantrell and Viviana Lawrence. He is also survived by five grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 27th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the First Methodist Church of Lake Providence (407 1st St, Lake Providence, LA 71254). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
