She was predeceased by: her parents, Eldridge Lewis Gathright and Ida Jane Simmons; her husband Jim Thornton; and her granddaughter Patricia Nicole Parker. She is survived by: her children, Johnny Ray Parker (Karen), David Alan "Rusty" Parker, Terri Parker Buckmeyer, Kayla Parker Brooks and Natalie Sulk (Luke); and her grandchildren, Cody Whitlock (Kristie), Chase Whitlock (Stephanie), Meredith Sparks (Adam), Ashley J. Brooks, Tyler Parker (Hannah), Brown (Katie), April Childress (Brandon) and JC Wheless (Jennifer).
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Rose-Neath Funeral Home (943 Polk St, Mansfield, LA 71052). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Oak Lawn Cemetery (18056 Highway 175, Mabank, TX 75147).
