We are sad to announce that on June 29, 2023, at the age of 96, James Kern Hamilton Sr. of Mansura, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his former life partner Josephine Saucier Hamilton; his daughter Amanda Marie Burns; his granddaughter Amber Marie Armand; his parents, Ed Hamilton and Safronia Gwin Hamilton; and his siblings, Carl Barnes, Lars E. "Big Boy" Hamilton, Grace Hamilton Hulse, Hartford Ray Hamilton, Ed Hamilton, Jr. and Lula Faye Hamilton Gibson.

He is survived by : his children, James Kern Hamilton, Jr. (Debbie) of Arnaudville, LA, Robert Ray'Bobby'Hamilton (Denice) of Bunkie, Daniel Corkery'Danny'Hamilton (Donelle) of Cottonport, Ed Hunter Hamilton (Debbie) of Richmond, TX and Mary Jo Hamilton of Mount Shasta, CA. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the Hamilton Family asks that donations to the Hope Center be considered.
