We announce the death of Reginald Blackman Sr. of Mansura, Louisiana, who passed away on September 15, 2026, at the age of 84. He was predeceased by: his parents, Pury Blackman and Alberta Blackman; his siblings, Raymond Blackman, Patrick Blackman and Doretha Bonton; and his former wife Lillie Mae-Patton Blackman.
He is survived by: his wife Alice Blackman; his sister Vera Blackman Batiste; and his children, Reginald Blackman, Jr., Gayle Blackman and Karen Blackman-Lavalais (Albert). He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Escude Funeral Home (6608 Porterie St, Mansura, LA 71350). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church (1910 Escude St, Mansura, LA 71350).
