She was predeceased by: her parents, Jiles Dowden and Inez West Dowden; her siblings, Billy Dowden, Bobby Dowden, Charles Dowden and Joy Ann Hyatt; her stepbrother Buck Dowden; her former husband Carroll Gibson; her husband Billy Kelly; and her grandson William "Will" Robert Berry.
She is survived by: her daughters, Shiela Gibson (Lisa) of Mansfield, LA and Gayla Thaxton (Neil) of Florien, LA; her granddaughter Courtney Buckner (David); and her great grandchildren, Talan, Bekam, Paxtyn, Moxin, Radly and Landyn.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Prewitt's Chapel (383 Prewitt Chapel Rd, Hornbeck, LA 71439). A funeral service was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
