She was predeceased by: her parents, Iutress Cooley and Beatrice Bertha Cooley; her husband Calvin P. Rice; her siblings, Maxine Slaydon, Iulene Dickerson, Aileen Hickman, Faye Perry and Earl Cooley; and her grandson Duane Leggett.

She is survived by: her children, Dr. Charles Rice (Koyne) of Lewisville, Brenda Morrow (Carl) of Baton Rouge and Betty Leggett (John) of Zwolle, Louisiana; and her siblings, Lou Slaydon (Junior) of DeRidder, Linda Hamiter of Washington and Iutress Cooley, Jr. (Myrna) of Merryville, Louisiana. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Lottie Moon Mission Fund at First Baptist Church at PO Box 488, Zwolle, Louisiana.
