He was predeceased by: his parents, Alsey Lachney and Ada Laborde Lachney; his siblings, Alsey James Lachney "L. C." and Verlie Voinche Bernard; and his grandson Aaron James Lachney.
He is survived by: his children, Jonathan Louis (Ashley) of Fifth Ward and Charlotte Lachney of Shreveport; his sisters, Joyce Bond (Randy) of Spring Bayou and Charlene Lemoine (Vernon) of Brouillette; and his grandchildren, Jon Laurence Lachney (Abigail) of Cantonment, Jacob Lachney of Marksville, Jameson Keet Long of Marksville and Mia "Leah" Ducote of Fifth Ward.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM, from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM. A graveside service was held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Genevieve Cemetery (4052 LA-452, Marksville, LA 71351).
