With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Sylvia Bonnette Saucier (Marksville, Louisiana), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 15, 2025 at the age of 98. She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Bonnette and Verdie Dauzat Chenevert; her brother Wade Bonnette; her grandson Chad Vead; and her children-in-law, Mitchel Gerald Bernard and Cathy Vead.
She is survived by: her children, Carolyn V. Bernard and Johnny Vead; her grandchildren, Roger Bernard (Angie), Allison B. Evans (Greg), Emily Vead (Damon), John Moak (Kathy), Scott Moak (Shawn) and Joseph Matthew Ash (Holly); her great grandchildren, Cassie Hardy, Cole Evans, Shelbie Bernard, Caden Evans, Dalton Knight and Landon Knight; and her sister Noemi Blanchard. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Fifth Ward (1924 LA-1, Marksville, LA 71351). A rosary was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
