We announce the death of Calline EAST Wicker of Marrero, Louisiana, born in Saint Francisville, Louisiana, who passed away on September 2, 2026, at the age of 89. Calline will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her husband Edward Wicker, Sr.; her parents, Frank East and Allie Rae East; and her siblings, Margaret East, Lily Thompson, Luberta Harris and Edward East.
She is survived by: her children, Edward Wicker, Jr. (Sandra), Veronica Alexander (Laurence), Robert Wicker, Sr., Pamela Stockman (Derek) and Loraine Jones (Christopher); her grandchildren, Brandon (Vanessa), Shondrah (Dakia), Adrian, Dewayne, Mariah (Joseph), David, Kailah (Darren), Tyler, Robert, Jr., Jasmine, Demetria and Nia; and her siblings, Irma Cavalier and Frank East, Jr.. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 8:30 AM to 9:45 AM at the Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church (1000 Walkertown Way, Marrero, LA 70072). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
She also generously shared her talent by donating her creations to members of the community.
