He is survived by: his spouse Shelby Jean Ellis; his children, Annette Taylor (Patrick), Robert Earl Ellis, Dennis Ellis, Brenda Ellis Robinson (Fred), Roy Ellis (Joyce), Jennifer Ellis, Michelle Dickinson, Thomas Dixon and Janice Dixon; and his brother James Sorrells of Hermanville, MS.
