He was predeceased by : his parents, Sylvester Johnny Oubre and Lillian Bruce Padilla; his wife Rosalind Cambre Oubre; his close friend Anna Matherne; his children, Brian Oubre and Sherri Oubre; and his sister Barbara Oubre.

He is survived by : his daughter Regina Oubre Boudreaux (Paris); his grandsons, Joshua Lantz and Caleb Oubre; and his brother David Oubre. He is also survived by relatives and friends.
