He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Joseph, Sr. and Eugenia Lucas Simon; his spouse Lrline "Earline" Mayeaux Simon; his son Dennis Louis Simon; and his granddaughter Miranda "Randi" Simon.

He is survived by: his children, Denise Albarado (Jimmy), Darlene Lohr (Ronnie), Dorene Howell (Allan) and Danny Simon (Gina); his grandchildren, Milfred "Boogie" Baye (Laurie), Mindy Baye, Jennifer Albarado, Chantel Griffin (Steven), Connie Ogle (Gary), Casey Hano (Bob), Taylor Howell (Nykki), Kimberly Howell (Jesse) and Josh Simon (Madison); his great grandchildren, Jordan, Celeste, Hailee, Katie, Sara, Emma, Johnathan, Jackson, Mia, Riley, Marshall, Lainey and Lalonde; his great great grandchildren, Kaden and Jacob, Jr.; and his girlfriend Renee Childress. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
