He is survived by: his wife Joan Bourgeois Monk; his sons, Elvin Ray Monk, Jr. (Terry), Tim Monk (Riki) and David Monk (Mary); his grandchildren, Holly Monk, Brittany Lindsey (Beau), Corey Monk (Amy), Beau Monk, Tristan Monk and Ethan Monk; his great grandchildren, Austin, Laila and Lea; his sibling Shirley Lormand (late Edward); his stepchildren, Kathy Ramos (late Frank) and Kim Goff (Rhonda); his stepgrandchildren, Russell Harris (Michelle), Frank Ramos, Jr. (Jessica), Elizabeth Ramos, Brittney Lee (Jordan) and Bethany Billiot; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Luna, Aaliyah, Sebastian, Adrina, Morais and Seoul; and his sibling Oaks. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Marrero - Mothe Funeral Homes (7040 Lapalco Blvd, Marrero, LA 70072). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Mothe Funeral Home (7040 Lapalco Blvd, Marrero, LA 70072). A burial was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 at the Westlawn Memorial Park (1225 Whitney Ave., Terrytown, LA 70056).
