He was predeceased by: his parents, John Howard Pertuit of Donaldsonville and Marguerite Hebert Vinet of White Castle, Louisiana.; and his siblings, Pearl Bealer and John Pertuit Sr.. He is survived by: his significant other Shirley May Troxler; his brother James "Jimmy" Vinet Jr. George; his children, Mandy Delgado (Dino), Sally McEntee (Billy), George J. Pertuit Jr. (Saul) and Jay A. Pertuit, Sr. (Yvonne); his grandchildren, Wendy, Krissy, Dina, Tiffany, Dean, Daniel, Jay Jr. and Joshua; and his great grandchildren, Logan, Levi, Josh, Tiyana, Dean, Marina, Alyssa, Adyn, Dani and Braelyn.
