She was predeceased by: her husband Phillip "Bubba" Smith; and her siblings, Sue Daniels, Phyllis Shonkwiler, Jesse and Jim Shonkwiler.
She is survived by: her son Bill Westenhaver of Dallas, Texas; and her siblings, Katherine Carter of Marrero, Louisiana and Keith Shonkwiler of Ellsworth, Wisconsin. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
