The passing of June Myrna Gauthreaux (Marrero, Louisiana), born in New Orleans, Louisiana leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on April 27, 2025 at the age of 93. She was predeceased by: her children, Kelvin Gauthreaux and Lisa Gauthreaux Delahoussaye; her son-in-law Samuel LaChute, Jr.; her former spouse Nedas J. "Ned" Gauthreaux; her parents, William Ed Decker, Sr. and Maude Robatham Decker; and her siblings, William Ed Decker, Jr., Clarence Decker (Forest Cook), Inez Santangelo, Audrey DiFulco (Noel Ory) and Shirley McAdams.
She is survived by: her children, Marie Fazende (Charlie), Betty Gauthreaux, Clayton Gauthreaux (Ann Marie), Karen LaChute, Daniel Gauthreaux (Angelia) and Ronald Gauthreaux; and her grandchildren, Chris Fazende (Sian), Yvette LaChute, Jason Fazende (Ana), Kimberly Foster, Crystal Gauthreaux, Sarah Gauthreaux, Daniel Gauthreaux, Dorina Gauthreaux (Matthew Vercher), Kayla Ursin (Jerry), Samantha Delahoussaye, Avery Delahoussaye, Andrea Gauthreaux and April Gauthreaux. She is also survived by 18 great grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 8th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Friday, May 9th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home (5101 Westbank Expy, Marrero, LA 70072). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
