She was predeceased by: her husband Edward Stewart, Sr.; her son Edward Stewart, Jr.; her stepchildren, Corliss and Mary Ann Stewart; her grandson Edward Keisha Stewart; her parents, Samuel Chopin and Felicie Mitchell Chopin; and her siblings, Charles, Marshall, Joseph Chopin, Archange Chopin Raphael, Augustine Chopin Thompson, Jane Chopin Gaither, Noelie Chopin Florence, Samuel Chopin and Phillip Chopin.

She is survived by: her children, Sherman J. Stewart (Catherline), Alfred Stewart (Kimberlyn), Gail Stewart and Charles Stewart; and her stepson Owen Stewart.
