She was predeceased by: her husband James Calvin Black; her parents, Cyril Anderson and Olevia Washington Johnson; and her brother Roosevelt Johnson. She is survived by: her children, Cammilla Rollins, Cyrel Hester and Yashica Gooden; and her siblings, Joseph Johnson, Freddie Johnson, Willie Haynes Johnson, Valerie Taylor, Delores J. Guice and Olivia Price. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousin, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the True Believer's Baptist Church (2621 Behrman Hwy, New Orleans, LA 70114). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
