With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Malaika REGINA Williams of Marrero, Louisiana, born in New Orleans, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 14, 2026 at the age of 45. She was predeceased by: her father Reginald K. Williams; her grandparents, George, Ella V. Williams, Zeke, Alberta K. Brown and Rev. M. B. Meacham; and her aunts and uncles, Zeke, Jr., Charles, Ed, Theodore Brown and Thomas Hamilton.
She is survived by: her child Ramses Kaho Williams; her mother Elvera B. Williams; her brothers, Matthew W. Williams and Darryl Adams (Brenda); her partner Diriki "Rik" Guillory; her nieces and nephews, Alexis Colby Welch (Ryan), Brandi Carter (Jon), Malaysia Smith and Elijah Smith; her aunts and uncles, Carolyn Brown, Verna M. Brown, Ann Hamilton, Robin Brown, Norma Brown, Rodney Brown, Sr. (Garrilyn) and Horace Brown, Sr. (Catherine); her cousin Gina Brown; her godparents, Celia Blanchard and Glenn Patrick White; her godchildren, Alexis Colby Welch, Jordyn Mylia Ray, Aaliyah Kylie Daniels, Jarrod Collins, Jr. and Joy Collins; and her pet Panda Williams. She is also survived by cousins, colleagues, students, other relatives and friends.
