It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melissa Marie Daquin (Marrero, Louisiana), who passed away on February 5, 2026, at the age of 55, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Melissa departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Melissa. Though Melissa may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She is survived by: her husband Gary T. Daquin Sr.; her children, Gary Daquin Jr. (Kathryn), Joseph Daquin (Elizabeth) and Blaze Daquin Sr. (Taylor); and her parents, Barbara Hall and Tommy Hall. She is also survived by numerous family members and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, February 16th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home (5101 Westbank Expy, Marrero, LA 70072).
